Reordering fields

The order of fields in your form is completely independent of how attributes are ordered in Attio. You have full control.

Drag and drop

In the form builder, grab the drag handle (the six-dot icon on the left edge of any field row) and drag it to the desired position. Release to drop. The preview updates instantly.

Best practices

Put the most important fields first. Respondents are more likely to complete forms where critical information comes early. If you are capturing email, put it at or near the top.

Group related fields together. If you have several address fields, keep them adjacent. Cognitive grouping reduces friction.

Put optional fields last. Fields marked as optional should generally come after required ones. This way respondents who abandon the form mid-way still give you the data you need most.

Consider conditional logic order. Fields that trigger show/hide rules must appear before the fields they control. If a "Company size" select controls whether a "Number of employees" field appears, "Company size" must come first.

Resetting order

There is no "reset to schema order" button — reorder deliberately. If you need to start over, you can toggle all fields off and re-enable them in the order you want, or use drag-and-drop to reorganize freely.
